Digong nakatanggap ng maling info sa budget slash ng Senado – Sotto

MANILA, Philippines – Maling impormasyon o fake news ang natanggap ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na babawasan ng Senado ang badyet ng pambansang pamahalaan bilang ganti sa hindi pagdalo ng Gabinete sa pagdinig vs Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation dahil hindi ito ang agenda, ayon kay Senate President Vicente Sotto III.

Sa pahayag, sinabi ni Sotto na wala sa agnda ng Senadoo ang naturang panukala kaya’t nakakasiguro ang Executive Department na walang mangyayaring pagtapyas.

“There is nothing like that in the Senate’s agenda. Cabinet members usually attend to explain their budgets. The President is being given a wrong impression by some people ‘i don’t know who’!” ayon kay Sotto.

“I don’t know who is threatening the budget of the [executive department]. The President must be being given wrong info. When a Cabinet member does not attend his budget deliberations in plenary, we simply call their budget when they are present. No such thing as cutting the budget because of non attendance,” dagdag niya.

Dahil dito, muling iginiit ni Sotto ang kahalagahan ng regular na pagpupulong ng Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC).

“That’s the trouble of not calling a regular LEDAC. Rumors become information,” aniya.
