Vietnam SEA Games tuloy na sa 2022

MANILA, Philippines – May petsa nang inihayag ang organizers ng  31st Southeast Asian Games sa Vietnam kung kailan idaraos ang biennial games sa 2022.

Itatakda sa Mayo 12-23, 2022 ang SEA Games ayon sa  inilabas nila sa kanilang web site noong Biyernes.

Ang naturang petsa ay inilabas ng national Olympic committee ng Vietnam sa kanilang web site at iniulat din ng Channel News Asia (CNA).

Magaganap ang opening ng biennial meet, tatlong araw makalipas ang national election dito sa Pilipinas sa Mayo 9, 2022.

Kaugnay nito, karamihan sa mga atleta, coaches at sports officials na kabilang sa SEAGames delegation ay hindi makakaboto ayon kay Philippine Olympic Committee President Rep. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino.

“This is one of those sacrifices of having to represent the country in an international competition,” ani Tolentino.

“The main bulk of the delegation will be leaving for Vietnam no less than a week before the opening ceremony,” wika pa ni Tolentino. “This is because our athletes need to acclimatize and get the feel of the competition venues, environment and weather.”

“With the dates set, our athletes, through their national sports associations, could now specifically program their training and peak at the right time in May,” dagdag pa ni Tolentino.
