Tagumpay ng AFP dahil kay PDu30- Centino

MANILA, Philippines- Sinabi ni newly-appointed Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief-of-staff, Lt. Gen. Andres Centino, nitong biyernes na mas malapit na ngayon ang militar sa pagkamit ng tagumpay laban sa lahat ng banta sa seguridad sa bansa. 

Sa kanyang assumption speech, iniugnay ni Centino ang sunod-sunod na pagkapanalo ng AFP sa “firm conviction and full support of our Commander-in-Chief,” kung saan tinutukoy niya si Pangulong Rodrigo R. Duterte.

“The AFP also enjoys a plus 74 or excellent net satisfaction rating (among) Filipinos based on the most recent social weather station survey. These assurances fuel the dauntless spirit of the men and women of the organization in conquering the challenges of the day. From internal security to external defense, and the ramifications of the unseen enemy during this Covid-19 pandemic,” dagdag pa niya.

Ayon pa kay Centino, mas handa umano ang AFP sa pagtupad sa layunin nito na protektahan ang mga tao at ang bansa.

“With the issuance of Executive Order 70 and the creation of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) in the country, we will continue to pursue a whole-of-government and whole-of-nation approach against all threats. Our relentless operations against the terrorists will ensure a physically and psychologically secured environment conducive for inclusive progress,” aniya.

Sa ilalim ng kanyang pamumuni bilang ika-57 na AFP chief, sinabi ni Centino na magkakaroon ng apat na priority thrusts na magsisilbing “baseline and guiding mechanisms” sa pagtupad ng misyon ng organisasyon.

Ito ay ang operational efficiency, optimal use of resources, advancing professionalism and meritocracy sa AFP, at capability development.

Miyembro si Centino ng Philippine Military Class of 1988 at itinalagang Army commander noong Mayo. Isa rin siyang mistah (batchmate) ni newly-appointed Philippine National Police chief, Lt. Gen. Dionardo Carlos.

Bago siya maging Army chief, pinuno si Centino ng 4th Infantry Division na nakabase sa Cagayan De Oro City.

Hinawakan din niya ang ialng posisyon gaya ng commander ng 26th Infantry Battalion of the 4th Infantry Di; Secretary Army General Staff; Chief-of-Staff, 4th Infantry Division; commander ng 401st Infantry Brigade; at Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations (J-3) ng AFP. RNT/SA
