PNP humihingi ng dagdag-pondo sa body-worn cameras sa 2022

Manila, Philippines – Hiniling ni Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar sa mga mambabatas na dagdagan ang pondo sa pagbili ng body-worn cameras na gagamitin sa mga operasyon.

Sa pagdinig ng Senate finance committee sa proposed P248.5 bilyong bdyet ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), sinabi ni Eleazar na kakailanganin pa ng karagdagang 32,000 unit ng body-worn cameras.

“We seek your support, the Senate and the House of Representatives, kung puwedeng madagdagan ‘yung pondo so we can procure more body-worn cameras and systems.”

Ang bawat isa aniyang set ay nagkakahalaga ng P2 milyon kasama na ang 16 camera at iba pang accessories. RNT/FGDC
