Japan, UNICEF namigay ng digital learning resources sa Valenzuela

MANILA, Philippines – Namigay ang Japanese government at United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Philippines nitong Biyernes, Pebrero 10 ng mahigit 50 tablet na mayroong science at math digital stories at application, sa Valenzuela City.
Layon nito na suportahan ang mga mag-aaral na magkaroon ng mas maayos na access sa science at math subjects sa pamamagitan ng early-grade digital learning resources na binuo kasama ang Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Mathematics Education and Research (FPSMER).
“The Government of Japan is honored to have a long-standing partnership with the UNICEF that has certainly been instrumental in helping many people overcome challenging situations,” sinabi ni 1st Secretary Chihiro Kanno ng Embassy of Japan kasabay ng turnover ceremony na ginanap sa Valenzuela City Auditorium.
Dumalo rin sa nasabing event sina Valenzuela City Councilor Niña Shiela Lopez at mga opisyal ng UNICEF Philippines, Department of Education, University of the Philippines National Institute for Science and Mathematics Education Development, at FPSMER.
Ang proyektong ito ay bahagi ng $2.5 milyon ng Japan na suporta sa cross-sectoral COVID-19 response ng UNICEF sa pagprotekta sa most vulnerable children sa bansa mula sa child-rights crisis dulot ng pandemya. RNT/JGC
