Navotas cited as top performer at DOH-NIP

THE Navotas City government did it again!

This, after the Department of Health (DoH) cited it as the top performer among local government units  in Metro Manila in the National Immunization Program.

Mayor John Rey Tiangco was all praises for the City Health Office personnel for their dedicated service to Navoteño children.

“This award reflects our steadfast commitment to deliver to our constituents the best health care services available for them,” the city executive said.

City Health Officer Dr. Eric C. Caseñas received the recent 35^th founding anniversary of DoH-Metro Manila Center for Health Development held at the Manila Hotel.

Navotas has been consistent top performer among LGUs in metropolis in terms of providing immunization against vaccine-preventable diseases.

In 2021, the city government scored 101.11percent in Measles-Rubella Supplementary Immunization Activity.

It also exceeded its target in Measles-Rubella-Tetanus-Diphtheria Community-Based Immunization on the same year with 129.76percent inoculation rate in Measles-Rubella and 124.64percent in Tetanus-Diphtheria.

The NIP award came with P150,000 cash grant which will be used to fund other essential medical and health services in the city, the mayor said.

                          Solo parents get more financial aid

Tiangco has distributed anew financial assistance to qualified solo parents through the ‘Saya All, Angat All Tulong Pinansyal Program.”

He said some 450 Navoteños received P2,000 cash subsidy following the verification of their newly-applied and renewed solo parent identification cards.

The ‘Saya All, Angat All Tulong Pinansyal ng LGU ng Navotas para sa mga Solo Parents’ is part of the city government’s series of pandemic recovery programs which aim to benefit 1,500 registered solo parents this year.

                        More social services in first 100 days

The Tiangco administration has provided various social services and programs to more than 11,000 Navoteños during its first 100 days in office.

Of this, 3,321 individuals received financial assistance for their medical needs. Some 4,424 seniors collected their P500 NavoRegalo birthday cash gift while 224 registered solo parents got P2,000 financial assistance.

Some 1,933 residents benefited from the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
