OCA’S LEGACY IS ALONG’S CAPITAL

“Voting is as much an emotional act as it is an intellectual one.” – Monica Crowley

Political branding is about how a politician is perceived by the public. It is broader than the politician itself because it is intangible, conceptual, and psychological in nature.

A political brand is the overall impression, identity, or the image that the public has towards a politician, good or bad. It helps the voters distinguish one candidate from another – that is why we have political ads.

But political ads alone cannot guarantee that the public will see through the candidate’s inner self, intentions and character.

There will always be perception, which plays a major part in the selection of a candidate.

Simply put, a bad product wrapped in an ornate package will still rot in the supermarket shelves as opposed to a “proven brand” that has withstood the test of time.

As they say, “Iba ang may pinagsamahan!”

This is where Caloocan mayoral aspirant 2nd District Rep. Dale Gonzalo ‘Along’ Malapitan stands tall over his opponent in his quest for the city’s top executive post.

Mayor Oscar Malapitan, Along’s dad, has practically laid down the foundation for his son’s platform in his more than eight years of service.

The various government awards for excellence, the economic boom in the city, the infrastructure, and peace and order were just part of the whole package that Along will inherit from his father as he slug it out with 1st District Rep. Edgar Erice come May 2022.
