Restriksyon sa ‘di bakunado magdudulot ng diskriminasyon – DOH

MANILA, Philippines – Sinabi ng Department of Health (DOH), Miyerkoles na magdudulot ng diskriminasyon ang pagpapataw ng restirksyon sa galaw ng mga hindi bakunadong indibidwal.

“[A]s of now, majority of the population is unvaccinated and hence it may lead to discrimination, especially to those who don’t have access to vaccines yet or to those who really cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons,” ani Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire sa isang pahayag.

Ang komento ng opisyal ay ukol sa naging hirit ng business at private sektor na patawan ng restriksyon ang galaw ng mga hindi bakunadong indibidwal.

Iginiit ni Vergeire, hindi pa naman bakunado ang mayorya ng Pilipino kaya hindi pa ito dapat ikasa.

Sa kabilang banda, patuloy na hinihikayat ng DOH ang lahat ng magpabakuna.

“The DOH urges the eligible population to get vaccinated to protect themselves and their families against COVID-19,” ani Vergeire.

“Moreover, fully vaccinated individuals should continue to practice the minimum public health standards since they can still get infected and infect others with COVID-19,” dagdag pa niya. RNT
