PNP nakatanggap ng anti-terror equipment mula sa US

MANILA, Philippines – Natanggap na ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang donasyon na iba’t ibang kagamitan mula sa Estados Unidos sa pamamagitan ng US Embassy sa bansa.

Sa isang statement ngayong araw, Setyembre 23 sinabi ni PNP Director for Logistics Maj. Gen. Angelito Casimiro na nai-turn over na ng US Embassy – Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Office of Anti-Terrorism Assistance (DS/ATA) ang 18 sets ng Cellebrite at 57 units ng laptop computer sa PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group.

Maliban dito ay nagbigay din ang embahada ng apat na Ford Ranger, anim na unit ng bomb suit, limang unit ng logo scanner at veterinary equipment sa Explosive Ordinance Disposal K9 Group.

Isang unit naman ng kahalintulad na sasakyan, anim na unit ng Harris Radio, tactical medicine kit, crisis response team equipment, advance crisis response team equipment at first response to medical stabilization kits ang ibinigay sa Special Action Force.

Pinasalamatan naman ito ng PNP na wala umanong sawa ang ipinapakitang suporta nito sa Pilipinas.

“While the security and welfare of the people rely on the number of police officers in the field, we are also putting more teeth to better deliver efficient and effective police service across the country with the help of our stakeholders and partners like the US Embassy. Thus, this kind of gesture strengthens the capacity of every police officer by upgrading their equipment for effective police operations,” mensahe ni Casimiro.
