PH posibleng susunod na COVID epicenter sa SEA – Leachon

MANILA, Philippines – Posible umanong maging epicenter na ng COVID-19 pandemic sa Southeast Asia ang Pilipinas kung hindi mapipigilan ang lumulobong kaso ng sakit.

Ayon sa dating governmnt adviser na si Dr. Tony Leachon, nasa “perfect storm” ang bansa dahil maliban sa dumaraming kaso, mahina pa angCOVID-response sa bansa.

“The healthcare system will soon collapse if we will not be able to control. Because of the increase in the positivity rate, more and more people are being tested and more and more people, because of the low testing, will become positive and they will go the hospital,” sinabi ni Leachon.

Dagdag pa umano ang isyung bumabalot sa Department of Health kaugnay ng P67 bilyong fund deficiency.

Hindi umano nalalayo na matulad ang Pilipinas sa kinasapitan noon ng Indonesia at India.

Maaari umanong mas tumaas pa ang kaso ng COVID-19 sa bansa sa mga susunod na araw. RNT/JC
