Pagbawi sa face shield policy, ‘di napapanahon – WHO

MANILA, Philippines – Sinabi ng World Health Organization na hindi pa napapanahon ang pagbawi ng polisiyang pagsusuot ng face shield dahil na rin sa pagkakatala ng mga record breaking na COVID-19 cases sa Pilipinas.

“In a situation where the face shields are considered an additional layer of protection and the country yesterday reported the highest number of cases, I think we shouldn’t be even talking about changing the position now because we may in the process give the wrong message to the public,” ayon kay WHO country representative Rabindra Abeyasinghe sa interbyu sa CNN Philippines.

Suhestyon ni Abeyasinghe na tsaka na pag-usapan at planuhin ang mga pagbabago sa polisiya kapag nakokontrol na ang sitwasyon sa COVID.

Isa ang Pilipinas sa kakaunting bilang ng mga bans ana nagpapatupad ng pagsusuot ng face shield.

“You as a country have decided that face shields should be worn. You shouldn’t change that position now when the country is experiencing the highest number of cases. That will send a wrong signal to people,” giit pa ni Abeyasinghe. RNT
