Dahilan ng pagkamatay ng bata sa COVID na galing mall ‘uncertain, multifactorial’ — DOH

Manila, Philippines — Iniulat na ‘multifactorial’ at ‘uncertain’ pa ang dahilan ng COVID-19 infection ng 2-anyos na bata na nanggaling sa mall tatlong araw ang nakalipas, batay sa Department of Health (DOH).

Maaalalang napaulat na nagpositibo ang paslit sa rapid antigen test base na rin sa post ng isang doktor sa social media.

Nauna naman iminungkahi ni Health Secretary Francisco na muling suriin ang bata.

“This news is very unfortunate. Although the recent activities done, like the mall visit, may be a possible source of infection, its exact cause will remain multifactorial and uncertain,” lahad ni Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.

“Factors such as adults from the same household going to work and bringing the infection home could also be a possibility. In line with this, we would like to reiterate that the COVID-19 virus is still very much present.”  RNT/FGDC
