Duque sa PhilHealth: Bilisan ang pagbabayad ng hospital claims

Manila, Philippines – Hinikayat ni Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III ang Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) na agad i-settle ang mga hindi pa bayad na claims sa ilang ospital.

Dagdag pa ni Duque, dapat agad iproseso ng PhilHealth ang proseso ng pagbabayad sa mga ospital na may kumpletong dokumento.

“Of course, my position on the matter is accelerate payment on those with sufficient documentation. May legal basis [dapat],” lahad ni Duque sa Kapihan sa Manila Bay forum.

Sinabi pa nito na may sapat na pondo ang PhilHealth upang mabayaran na ang mga obligasyon nito sa ospital.

“Merong pondo ang Philhealth. It is sufficiently funded.”

“It is very hard to be paying money from the system, where contributions are hard earned money, without ascertaining that the documents are valid, and went through adjudication process,” dagdag pa ni Duque. RNT/FGDC
