Tulong ng AFP hiningi na ng IBP vs pagpatay sa mga abogado

MANILA, Philippines – Lumapit na ang Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) sa Armed Forces of the Philippines para sa seguridad ng mga abogado sa Pilipinas.

“In aid of the IBP’s Lawyer Security Program, the AFP promised to assign a member to the IBP’s lawyer security panel and to conduct marksmanship training for lawyers,” ani IBP President Burt M. Estrada sa pahayag.

Matatandaang sunod-sunod na mga abogado ang nasasawi kamakailan, ang pinakabago nga rito ang pagpatay sa South Cotabato Lawyer Juan Macabadbad.

“The AFP likewise agreed to hold a fellowship activity between IBP chapters and their members assigned in their areas,” dagdag pa ni Estrada.

Noong Setyembre 20 isinagawa ang pagpupulong sa pagitan ng grupo ni Estrada at ni Vice Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Erickson R. Gloria.

Isa sa pinag-usapan ang pagrebisa sa “existing agreements with the IBP to include providing legal offensive and defensive remedies and to extend legal services and legal aid, even to retired members of the AFP.”

“The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) calls for a nationwide effort to protect our lawyers and judges,” giit ni Estrada matapos ipahayag ang lubos na pagkadismaya sa mga nangyayaring pagpatay sa mga abogado sa bansa. RNT
