20M fully vaccinated target ng Ph gov’t sa end-September

Manila, Philippines – Target ng gobyerno ang 20 milyong fully vaccinated individual bago matapos ang Setyembre, batay kay Secretary Carlito Galvez.

Aniya, naiturok na sa Pilipinas ang nasa 40.5 milyong COVID-19 vaccine dose kung saan 17.97 milyon na ang fully vaccinated.

Buhat nitong Setyembre 16, tanging 4.2 milyon o 51% ng senior citizens ang nakatapos na sa kanilang COVID-19 shots.

“And we are looking forward that by the end of September more than [20] million na ang fully vaccinated.”

Layunin ng gobyernong makapagbakuna ng 70 milyong katao bago matapos ang taon upang makamit ang herd immunity.

“This is a testament that our vaccination program is on track and is continuously scaling up despite the multiple challenges we have faced in the past weeks,” ani Galvez.

“We are looking at expanding the vaccine rollout to the younger population or those 12 to 17 years old in NCR. We are awaiting the recommendation of our vaccine and public health experts regarding this matter, but the NTF along with Metro Manila mayors, have started preparations for this expansion.”  RNT/FGDC
