LTFRB nagpaliwanag sa 1% lang na nagastos sa Service Contracting Program budget

MANILA, Philippines – Nilinaw ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang ulat ng Commission on Audit (COA) na isang porsyento lamang ng pondo ng Service Contracting Program ang nagamit ng ahensya.

“To set the records straight, with the actual funds downloaded to LTFRB only in November 2020, the Service Contracting Program was immediately implemented to incentivize Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) drivers and operators who were given permission to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic,” pahayag ng LTFRB.

Batay sa ulat ng COA, P59 milyon lamang ang nagamit ng ahensya sa P5.58 bilyong pondo ng Service Contracting Program.

Paliwanag ng LTFRB, nagkaroon ng kasunduan ang ahensya at Landbank of the Philippines (LBP) na nilagdaan nitong Disyembre 2020.

Sa kasunduan, ang LBP ang magkakaloob ng benepisyo sa pamamagitan ng bank accounts o e-money/wallet.

“Therefore, it is misleading to angle certain reports and columns that only 1% was used from the P5.56-B funds for the Service Contracting Program, where in fact, the 1% utilization rate only covers the implementation month of December 2020, which is also the coverage/extent of the COA report that was released,” giit ng LTFRB.

Anila, nakatanggap na ng P4,000 ang 23,410 drayber sa buong bansa habang 8,461 drayber ang nabigyan ng P25,000 one-time onboarding incentives; 702 drayber naman sa P20,000 one-time onboarding incentives; at 18,864 drayber ang nakakuha ng lingguhang ayuda.

Dagdag ng LTFRB, hinihintay pa ng ahensya na ilabas ng Department of Budget and Management ang natitirang P3.3 bilyon sa pondo. RNT/ELM
