Substitution sa withdrawal ‘di na papayagan pagtapos ng Nov. 15 – Comelec

Manila, Philippines – Sinabi ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na ang substitution dahil sa withdrawal ay hindi na papayagan pagkatapos ng November 15.

“If you are going to make a substitution, you need to submit the name of the substitute by Nov. 15. After that, only involuntary substitution will be allowed,” saad nu Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez.

 “If one of the candidates did file their certificate of candidacy (COC), and they are your partymate, then you could substitute for them even if you yourself didn’t file a certificate of candidacy.”

“It doesn’t matter if you are a candidate or not. The point is, as long as you are a party mate of the person, who withdrew voluntarily, then you could substitute them,” dagdag pa nito.

Sa ilalim ng Resolution No. 10717, sinabi ng Comelec na ang aspirant mula sa duly registered political party o coalition na namatay, umatras, o nadiskwalipa sa kahit anong dahilan matapos ang huling araw ng paghahain ng COCs ay maaaring palitan ng aspirant mula sa parehong political party o coalition.
